Know-It's Prescriptives
Mr. Know-It's Prescriptive Lessons make it easy to reference and target specific reading skills. Using materials from Know-Its and Beyond: Stage I & II, the manual offers teachers a new format for meeting the needs of individual students. Lessons are correlated to the DIBELS assessment and various states' standards. |
Know-Its and Beyond Stage I & II build a foundation for reading by teaching strategies that children can use. Students use games and manipulatives to learn new reading skills. Strategies are even modeled on a DVD where puppets are being taught to read. Then children apply the strategy using games, magnetic manipulatives, books, and writing activities. By using multiple types of application, the program meets the individual needs of struggling readers. Therefore, a perfect fit for RTI (Response to Intervention)!
